I've always found running to be relaxing and meditative. These are just my thoughts and musing on running and life and trying to come to terms with the passing of my wife, soulmate and best friend.

Foundations
Today my wife, Iwetta is heading off to Paris to celebrate her auntie, Jagodas, 60th birthday. It's a lovely idea as they are very close and I hope she has a great time.
This means, however, that I am working in the business park for the week and I have a house full of kids and pets to look after.
My son, Dion, has decided that he wants to start running with me in the evenings in preparation for his Sligo-leitrim U15 final on Saturday. As I am also his football coach this is something I welcome.
I'am using an app called "my fitness pal" which tracks every aspect of my diet and weight and I'll will log the important points for the next six weeks or so. This basically, helps me track my food(calorie) intake and helps me to control my weight. Feuling up properly and hydrating, I've found to be vital as the mileage inrceases as I've been caught short on numerous occasions. Recovery fuel is something that I have to work on to make sure I'm ready to go the next day fully tanked up. Total concentration is needed every day to be sure ererything is going to plan.
I will be taking my resting heart rate and recording my weight daily on this blog and inputting all my runs, exercises and thoughts as I've said before, starting today.
